Where is Gagetown? Isn’t that an army base?
The Village of Gagetown is a quiet quaint little town on the Saint John River. It is centrally located between Fredericton, Moncton & Saint John. It is NOT part of CFB Gagetown, which is located in Oromocto.
Will there be day passes available?
Yes, there will be day passes available at the Gate. Friday Night Pass – $30, Saturday Day Pass – $60, Sunday Day Pass – $60.
Is there a cost for camping?
No. Camping is included in your Weekend Pass, Day Passes do not include camping.
Can I Bring My Own Alcohol into the Festival?
Canned and/or Plastic bottled Alcohol is allowed to be consumed inside the camping field. No outside booze will be allowed into the licensed festival area. There will be a bar set up selling Picaroons Traditional Ales and spirits for a fair price.
Will there be activities besides music at the Festival?
My heavens yes! There will be live painting by feelsgood artists, workshops from the Saint John Free School and outdoor games set up all in the festival grounds.There will be daily circus performances, and the Calithumpians will even be about!
Can I bring my dog to Folly Fest?
No. We love pooches, but we have to respect that some festival goers may not be as comfy around dogs and what they leave behind to be found with barefeet.
Can I bring fireworks?
No. Insurance and safety issues limit fireworks displays to the professionals.
Should I bring rain gear?
Yes. Its been known to rain at Folly Fest.
Will there be an ATM machine on site?
Yes. Cash is readily available onsite.
Will there be flush toilets and showers on site?
Yes! The Queen’s County Fair Grounds Association installed bathrooms and showers on the Fair Grounds last year. We would like to take the time to ask everyone to respect the huge expense this was to the fair committee and ask for upmost respect in keeping these facilities in tip top shape.
Will there be a quiet camping area?
Yes. We have set aside a quiet part of the festival grounds for those folks who may want to get a little more sleep than others. Vendors, families & volunteers will be given plenty of chance to catch some zzzzzz’s.
